The interior is extremely moist and intensely spiced with ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. The doughnut screamed to be eaten with ice cream. And that is what I did. I topped it with a healthy dose of our frozen custard and a generous drizzle of our milk caramel. And how do we make milk caramel? We make it by substituting sweetened condensed milk for the cane syrup in our butterscotch.
