I focus my efforts because I need to get shit done. The time spent between the ah ha moment and the first version of something is a terrible time. I’m trying to get across the dithering moat. (A quick side note. I am surprised how often a moat is used in the modern era as an example of an obstacle, when, to my experience I don’t know how many moats are still in existence. Let alone how hard they are to cross with modern machinery and resources. Sidetracked.)
The lack of moats in the modern era is an appropriate metaphor. There is no moat. I don’t need to spend time asking how to get across. I need to put the effort spent thinking about how I’m getting there into going there.
