Too often we get stuck in a rut because we look at the world through the glasses we are already wearing. When we take a moment and remove them, we are able to see more than we imagined. Today we made macaroni. Except these were not the universally accepted small elbows used for macaroni and cheese. Instead, these were a much larger and wider elbow. By changing the size of what was supposed to be, we were able to create a different preparation from the identical ingredients. Amazing what size does to texture, perception, and appreciation of an ingredient.
