I believe we are lost in the clutter of content. What we see and what we taste are not the same. What looks great on a screen often does not taste all that good. Some stuff does. And as those cooking look to draw crowds in order to stay in business, or stay relevant or just cause, they lose the concept of tastes great.
I have spent a career working on perfectly imperfect. I know our creations are not the prettiest. But, what I lose in looks I make up for exponentially in exceptional tastes. My tinkering attention is directed on tastes and indirectly or perhaps directly, textures. My quest is for my greatest expression of my idea. In the world of tinkering, I don’t always know where I am going. And often times I smash lots of ideas together. What stands up or stands out in this process usually finds a home in something we are cooking. It’s certainly not an instant solution.
