Notecard
21 years ago we started Ideas in Food as a digital notebook and to save us from the isolation of cooking in the middle of nowhere.
We had no idea what we were doing in the digital space, with blogs, or even in documenting our daily ideas. But we started. It was not something we new, perhaps it was journal writing in a rough sense. We wrote what we did, what we saw, what we experienced. We wrote to, with some hopes, of connecting to others.
I miss writing, not for clicks and fame and likes and all that. That is why our work lives in the shadows. You have to want to find our kind of viewpoint.
Gosh I really don’t like where social media has gone, what it has become, what it does to me and my family. I waste enough time there, I might as well refocus my mindlessness into explorations.
I am going to try and write here again. I am going to try and share our discoveries and experiences. I tinker on the daily.
I have thousands of note cards, post it notes and half written books. It’s time to begin sharing them again. We need more discovery and refinement. We need more exploration and wonder.
There may be a picture. It will probably be low in quality. It will help show the story.
