Ideas and approaches are often like a new car. At first, you think you are the only one on the block with the new ride, then as you drive around, everyone seems to have the same ride. I had plans of writing about our newest kitchen acquisition, Himalayan salt blocks, this morning when I noticed that Sean had pressed his own salt blocks into service over the weekend. These salt blocks are incredible in their size, weight, and presence. We picked up two larger blocks for cooking with and using as tools and presentation pieces. Yet, if these hold up and prove promising, we are looking at getting smaller slabs which we can use for individual serving pieces. Now, with the salt in the kitchen, it is up to us to see what exciting and interesting dishes we can develop.
