If you acknowledge your source, be it the actual original or not, it demonstrates respect and accountability. If you are afraid to show your thousands of followers that perhaps you get ideas from elsewhere there are several choices. Don’t be afraid, you’ve bamboozled them already. Reference your first post to where you borrowed the idea and were still not too famous to acknowledge the aha moment of another creative. This way the audience will have to dig deep for the actual source, but the creator of the connection is at least given some acknowledgement.
